August 3 with THREE kiddos!

Tuesday:  Brendan's "camp" this week begins Wednesday--so YAY, he was able to come and play with us today. I was SO GLAD!

Aidan made a HUMUNGOUS house ...

... with a back yard! Brendan played on the tablet I had checked out from the library last week. It was pre-loaded with a bunch of different games. Brendan seemed to enjoy himself with it, off and on, throughout our time together.

These little kiddos found the remote control car on an obscure shelf in the playroom and wanted it to work--but it wasn't! I switched out the batteries (duh) and voila! They had so much fun tearing around the house with this crazy car.

Aidan couldn't stop laughing at all the funny things he learned to do with it.

I finally had to set a timer to make sure Aidan and Erin were getting "equal" time with the car. Aidan was pretty aggressively controlling every second of its play. Here is Erin checking the timer ...

"It's almost MY turn, gwamma!"

We also got out our art books and supplies. The little kids drew and colored for quite a long time.

Aidan is quite intense about his art--it pays off too because he really does quite decently with the animals ("anti-mals" as the kiddos pronounce it) that he draws. He loves Ed Emberley's helpful books.

Like I said, Brendan spent a LOT of time on the tablet ... but now and then I would break away from the little kids and have conversations with Brendan about the games he was playing.

We also re-watched "Homeward Bound" because I could tell the kids were getting sleepy and I love this little story.

Aidan built a few "anti-mals" with the Magna-Quibix blocks while he was watching the movie.

Erin wanted to be all tucked in on the window seat.

After the movie, we played with Pla-Doh for a very long time! Close to 90 minutes! YES!

These little kiddos really REALLY like to explore with building. It is to their advantage that they are all so patient in their personalities ... and persistent too.

We had a really nice 6+ hours together. Dylan messaged me earlier in the day stating that Erin really wanted he and Kelly and Callaghan to come and play at my house ... so that is what is going to happen right around dinner time!
