March 15a

Sunday:  Emma and I worshiped at Calvary this morning via their LIVE feed. We have been asked to follow the guidelines for social distancing that have been suggested by our local government here in W. Michigan. Since public schools have been forced to shut down the next three weeks, an email went out to all at Calvary to worship on-line. Emma and I joined some 2000+ other people and had such a wonderful time. It was a beautiful "service" in every way. We sang encouraging songs and lifted our praise--I love to listen to Emma sing too.

Pastor is starting a new "mini-series" within the book of Titus that deals with living a quiet life. We talked today about "temperance" and "self-control" and what that looks like, especially in our society that values so highly high achievement and people who are driven to succeed. It was a wonderful teaching. Jim encouraged us so much to give ourselves over to the God who made us and loves us so much--to not be afraid--God is in control.
We also joined together in communion, a completely unique experience for Emma and I, but everything worked out beautifully. How amazing God is!
I'm so thankful we got to be part of this unique worship service. I am glad to be part of Calvary Church! Thank you, Lord!
