Thursday: Kaity doesn't get home from school until nearly 4:00 now that she rides the bus, PLUS she has swim class at 6:30 ... so we are learning to make the most of the few hours we have together Thursday evenings. Kaity is such a dear. I checked out some good resources from the library this week to encourage some FUN reading. Here are some pictures of Kaity reading to her stuffed hamster, Heidi.
Seriously ... I have to do whatever I can to get Kaity to read--she struggles with reading and I think sometimes she truly believes it is BEYOND her ... but that's not true. She's a smart kiddo. We just need to work a little bit at this reading thing ...
Matey joined us for dinner. Kaity very kindly shared her watermelon with him. It is his absolute favorite.
Matey included himself in the learning process tonight ... he was relentless to be with us in whatever we were doing.
These are the VOWEL OWLS I checked out in a packet from the library. Very cute. Kaity loved them.
After "school" was finished, Kaity used the magnetic tiles on the white board to make a little place for our hamsters to hang out.
Matey watched ... he was always very close to where we were ... we love him, but he can be a little bit much sometimes!
Kaity got changed into her swimsuit and we headed out to Gold Fish ...
