Celebrating Emma

Wednesday, August 14:  It's two more days until Emma's actual date of birth; but today is Wednesday, and it is the day I usually spend with the girls--so we decided to celebrate a little bit early with some home-made creamy delicious cheesecake (no-bake), topped with strawberries. Yum.
Kaity was playing "hard to get" in these next photos ... but, bless her sweet little heart ... I am posting these as is!

I gave Emma the job of arranging 17 candles on her "cake." She did an excellent job of it! One candle dead center, and 16 candles surrounding it, as evenly spaced as you can even believe!

 Great job, Emma!

Lighting the candles was a duo-effort. I think the cake looked really pretty all lit up.

Emma took a little bit of time figuring out her wish ...
Kaity-Girl watched with great anticipation ...
And then Emma opened her gifts and card ...

We ate our cheesecake later in the afternoon, right before we left for Richmond Park ... (next post)!
