June 23 at the playground

Tuesday Afternoon:  It was a perfect temperature/weather day for playground fun, so for our last hour together today, we drove over to Grand Rapids Township Park and I let three kiddos loose to play.

I think little Erin has been a huge influence on her older brother, Aidan, this year. LAST year, Aidan would NOT go down a slide. He would NOT allow himself to be put on any swing whatsoever, and he wasn't much at being up on any heights ... no, no, NO!
But Erin is quite the opposite of her cautious brother, and this has been good for him. He really enjoys sliding now--as long as it is not a very high slide ...
And Aidan climbs up every little thing too ... as long as it is not TOO high.

Aidan even slides down backwards! Yay, Aidan!
Erin is pretty nonchalant about the playground experience, but she does enjoy herself.
I adore this little denin outfit she is wearing ... but then I have always been a "Bluejean baby."

Brendan's main area is over by the sand and the excavator. He makes designs in the sand and pretends about various places he invents ...

Mr. Aidan decided he would try his strength at the excavator too ...

He's a very strong little dude and after a lot of effort, he was able to get it to do some digging. I was impressed. This thing is HEAVY.

Look! Here is Aidan on a SWING!

He and Erin were delighted to swing together ... so cute.

Aidan climbed up and over this little doghouse. Good for you, Aidan! But then it was time to go! An hour at the playground goes by VERY fast!
