June 25 at AJ's

Thursday Afternoon:  Due to COVID, AJ's did not open on its usual opening date; and even today, the archade was still closed. But since we were (early) celebrating Kaity's 8th birthday, we decided to drive a few race cars and play mini-golf! Kaity even had an appropriate race car face mask for the occasion!
These next two pictures are of Kaity in a race car that is just parked outside the archade ... no one really gets to drive it, but Kaity jumped in for a picture anyway.

We had one ticket for Kaity to drive the "kiddy" cars and she did an excellent job of it--they are VERY slow, however.

We did drive a two-person race car, with Kaity in the passenger seat. But no other cars were out there racing with us, so it seemed rather pointless. I drove it as fast as it would go, though, to give Kaity a thrill around the curves!

Mini-golf was the BIG hit today at AJ's. This was Kaity's first time ever playing the game. She LOVED it!

I have our score sheet, but I still haven't added them up. We were pretty loose about counting our strokes (we did not take penalties for the times our ball went in the water or on the rocks, etc.) and if we ended up with 5 strokes, that's as far as we counted ...

Kaity announced that she wants to play MORE mini-golf. I'm so glad! I love to play this game. I'm so thankful for dear dear Kaity. She is such a joy to my heart. Happy Birthday, dear granddaughter!
